Comments: Sort of an accidental time trial. I knew how much time I had before I needed to be home. So I just went out with a general route idea in mind.
Knowing I had a certain amount of time to get things done, I couldn't contain my desire to push. It was difficult, but I chalked that up to dead legs from biking the last two days. I just chugged along. The motivation of being under a deadline worked better than I thought. I went faster than I have in a while.
Towards the middle-end of the run, I realized the route I had chosen was a little too long, so I doubled down and ran hard for home. I didn't think I would have time to squeeze in four miles, but it worked out. I may need to adjust my threshold pace - this effort was close to threshold (faster than marathon pace) but didn't feel all-out. I think I am hesitant to adjust my threshold values because I don't really know how I want to use this training log yet!
