Comments: Felt kind of weird beforehand. Jittery from coffee, gross from too much to eat the night before. Felt good running though. Really needed to pee by the time I got around the mound at mile 11.5. That's becoming a ritual; I can't remember the last time I skipped peeing there. So much for the strava segment!
Not too much to report. Tried to keep the intensity low on climbs and largely succeeded. As a result, it was interesting to see how much more alive I was once the climbs flattened out.
Was worried the added mileage would kick my butt, but it went well. I had a couple rest days recently and that surely helped. And overall, my training has been very consistent lately. Weird to peek at how much mileage I've been doing week-in and week-out without really noticing. I don't know that I've ever been so consistent with thoughtful running. I feel silly having taken so long to try out the basic fundamentals - consistency and gentle increases in training load. Wow, it feels silly to write it out like that.
