Comments: Started off with mo for a few mi. It was warming up fast - frosty in the morning but nearing 50 by the end of my run. Felt extremely sore; heavy legs. Designated it an official recovery day. I'm considering doing something at the track tomorrow.
It was a beautiful, crisp, sunny day. The birds are coming back, and the grass is starting to poke through the soil again. The temperature actually dropped during my solo portion because of a cool breeze that made for perfect conditions. It was a great day for some recovery :)
Decided I mostly needed to focus on not running too hard downhill, where the impact and braking forces are exaggerated. Uphill, those forces are lessened, so I was ok pushing a little harder. Hamstrings felt sore on the downhill especially. Hard to keep cadence up. Never sure if that's a freshness or slowness issue.
